Registration Available for 16-Week ESL Course at Sandburg

Carl Sandburg College’s Corporate and Leisure College is offering a 16-week English as a Second Language (ESL) course from Aug. 20-Dec. 5.

The class, Conversational English as a Second Language for Beginner Level, will meet from 6-7:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays in the Center for Manufacturing Excellence, 2051 Tom L. Wilson Blvd., on Sandburg’s Main Campus in Galesburg. Cost is $125, which includes a textbook. Preregistration is required for this course, which will be taught by Randy Sollenberger.

This course is for adults whose native language is not English. Students will be given instruction and practice in speaking, writing and reading in English. Topics will include social interactions, employment, health, banking, housing, school and other related topics to improves students’ confidence in daily activities.
